"On the Distribution of Perception Verb Complements in English, German
and Japanese".

Steve Berman (PhD. UMass., 1991) will discuss a range of example
sentences involving perception verbs, and make some informal
observations concerning how their semantic interpretation might relate
to their syntactic structure.  Steve, who is known particularly for
his work on the semantics of interogative phrases and on domain
restriction, is currently a postdoctoral researcher at IMS Stuttgart.
