Six workshops will be offered on Thursday, October 10, 2002, the first day of the NWAV Conference at Stanford University. These workshops will be conducted by experts in the field and are designed to provide hands-on learning experience for linguists with all backgrounds to advance their knowledge of specialized topics.

Session names do not indicate the order in which workshops will take place. Note that there will be two concurrent workshops per session. You may therefore sign up for only one workshop in each session.

Signing up for workshops when you preregister will guarantee you a place in your selected workshop(s). Workshop rates are as follows:

One workshop US$ 25
Two workshops US$ 45
Three workshops US$ 60

There will also be an informal brown bag lunch meeting for researchers to discuss and share new technological developments, innovations and tricks in doing sociolinguistic research. This does not require advance notice on the part of participants; further details will be announced during the conference.
