May 25-27, 2001
Cordura Hall Conference Room, Stanford University
This workshop brings together scholars having an interest in logic -
philosophers, linguists and computer scientists - with the overall aim
of facilitating interdisciplinary interaction.
It is organized by
David Beaver, Johan
van Benthem, Mary
Dalrymple, Rob van Glabbeek,
David Israel, Grigori Mints,
and Daniel Lafave.
For each of the last nine years, CSLI has hosted a workshop on Logic,
Language and Computation. The program has involved a lively mix of topics
concerning the sources and flow of information in the various disciplines
that CSLI was designed to bring together. Sessions have emphasized the nature and logical formalization
of inference in the foundations of mathematics, the theory of computation,
and computational linguistics.
As has become a tradition by now, the program includes contributions by
both established researchers and newcomers to the field. The workshop
is open to all.
For information, contact Daniel Lafave at dlafave@stanford.edu.
Parking is possible near CSLI on Saturday and Sunday. For Friday, parking
in the A, C and Z lots requires a temporary permit until 4 pm. Permits
are available from the parking office at 340 Bonair Siding .
The Marguerite, the free campus shuttle, also runs by the conference
site.
